He is spoken of in both sectors due to his achievements not only in the United Kingdom but all around the world. In 2016 he was honored when he was presented with the award for Hotelier of the Year.
The past three decades have seen him active in the industry of hospitality. Shiraz Boghani has effectively and successfully invested in numerous hotel brands. His current position is with the Splendid Hotels Group. This group is responsible for 19 of the greatest hotels in the United Kingdom.
Shiraz Boghani wears so many different hats. He is a pioneer in the hotel sector, the owner of a business, an innovator, a philanthropist, a certified accountant and a hotelier since the beginning of the 1990’s. His base is in the United Kingdom where he cofounded a home care organization called Sussex Health Care. He also holds the position of Chairperson for the Splendid Hotels Group. Shiraz Boghani entered the world in Kenya, Africa and in 1969 he came to the United Kingdom. He attended the Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom where he trained to work as an accountant. For a period of time he served Thompson McLintock & Co.
Shiraz Boghani has touched so many lives in the hospitality sector through Sussex Health Care, his philanthropy and the Splendid Hotels Group. His immense contributions were documented upon his receipt of the Hotelier of the Year award. His efforts led to the launching of the largest hotel the capital has ever seen. The Hilton London Bankside cost approximately £121 million to build. His numerous past acquisitions include the Conrad London St. James, the Grand Hotel & Spa, the York & Holiday Inn and the New Ellington.
Shiraz Boghani supports and serves the Aga Khan Development Foundation as well as the Aga Khan Foundation. These charity societies offer the community’s most vulnerable members the support and help they need. His thought processes enabled the identification of the need for healthcare and support for both the weak and older members of the community. This was partially why in 1985 he cofounded Sussex Health Care. The foundation now has eighteen home care units in the united Kingdom. Shiraz Boghani has donated a large portion of his life to serve charity. His work has changed lives and transformed the United Kingdom’s hospitality industry.
