Heather Parry, a film and TV producer is the president of Live Nation since 2015. She is a relentless leader with an unbelievable drive and energy. Perry is known among her colleagues as someone who rarely allows a great opportunity to pass.
Heather Parry handled the production of several documentaries including Can’t Stop Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story, Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends), Gaga: Five Foot Two, Believer. The firm also helped co-produced the romantic musical film A Star Is Born.
A Star Is Born
In one of her interviews, Parry revealed that as soon as she heard that Bradley Cooper is going to direct the romantic musical drama, she immediately called the actor’s agent Dave Bugliari. She also attended a party for Martha Stewart knowing that the host Bill Gerber is one of the producers. It is a remake of a 1937 film with the same title. The film won Best Original Song during the 91st Academy Awards.
In addition to the film, another great documentary that Live Nation’s Film and TV division produced is Believer. The most recent documentary was launched at the Sundance Film Festival. It tells the story of Dan Reynolds, the lead singer of Imagine Dragons as he struggles with his faith as a Mormon. Tyler Glenn, lead singer of Neon Trees, also a Mormon and openly admitted he is gay co-stars in the documentary. The documentary narrates how these two artists struggle to stage a concert that would bring the LGBTQ youth and Mormon faith together.
Eagles of Death Metal
In January 2016, at her birthday party, Colin Hanks told Heather Parry that he was interested in documenting the return of Eagles of Death Metal to Paris after the terrorist attack at the band’s concert in 2015. After almost a couple of years, the documentary film Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis was released.
There are many other documentaries in the pipeline. Through Heather Parry’s lead, Live Nation has transformed itself into a story generator.
